At TherapyZone, our speech therapists engage children in activities to improve speech and articulation, feeding and swallowing, voice, fluency and language development.

The actual evaluation will involve two types of assessment: informal and formal assessment. Informal assessment may often look more like play and informal conversation rather than an evaluation, but the speech-language pathologist is actually using this time to learn more about how your child communicates in real life situations. Formal assessment is more structured and may involve your child doing things such as pointing to pictures in a testing manual, naming items, or answering the SLP’s questions. Upon completion of the evaluation, you will receive the results of the evaluation along with a formal evaluation report.

After expert diagnosis of a child’s communication disorder, our experienced and highly trained therapists develop an individualized therapy plan for each child. Our therapy consists of the most effective strategies to improve the child’s communication, along with partnerships with caregivers to extend therapy into the home. TherapyZone provides services in the clinic, home and community settings.
